DC Thomson’s events team is working with the UK Games Fund to launch the first ever UK Games Fund AwardsUK Games Fund Awards in November 2018.
The awards ceremony will take place in Dundee, highlighting the city’s reputation as a global hub for games innovation and creativity.
The award categories are:
- Studio of the Year
- Early Audience Experts
- Studio Leader
- Deal of the Year
- Smart Studio of the Year
- Game Developer Genius
- The Tranzfuser Award
- Tranzfuser Local Hub of the Year Award
Shortlisted nominees will be offered the chance to visit Dundee, a particularly exciting year for the city with the opening of the V&A in September, attend a welcome reception at DC Thomson Media’s headquarters in the city, and join the glamourous awards ceremony at the Apex City Quay Hotel.
The UK Games Fund Awards are open to all companies, teams and games which have thus far received UK Games Fund or Tranzfuser support.
Nominees are eligible for a part-funded trip to the glittering awards and a networking and showcase event in central Dundee on 14th November.
In terms of nomination the official awards website says:
You can nominate yourself, members of your team, your own company or other UK Games Talent and Finance supported companies or individuals. You can only nominate someone once but you can make as many different nominations as you like.
Entries to the awards are open from July 12 2018 until August 8 2018.
